FTC Commissioner Says Budget Woes to Make for ‘Tough Decisions’

Federal Trade Commissioner Melissa Holyoak said the agency is dealing with major budgetary strains that will make for “tough decisions” on where to direct resources.

The Democratic majority under the Biden administration “put us in a position where we do not have the money right now for all the stuff that we have,” Holyoak, a Republican, told reporters on the sidelines of an antitrust symposium hosted Friday by George Mason University in Washington.
