FTC’s Khan Says Boeing Monopoly Makes It ‘Too Big to Fail’ (1)

US Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan said in a speech that Boeing Co. became “too big to fail” after it bought up domestic competitors and became the country’s largest commercial aerospace maker.

At an event held Wednesday by Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a think tank in Washington, Khan pointed to Boeing as an example of how the government can give companies too much power. Khan, who has spearheaded an antitrust crackdown by the Biden administration, described Boeing as the “single best example of why a ‘national champion strategy’ can be catastrophic.”
