Freight Railroads Take Aim at Post-Class Fuel Price-Fixing Suits

The country’s top freight railroads say a wave of lawsuits alleging a nationwide scheme to rig fuel surcharges suffers from the same fatal flaws that doomed a previous class action in August.

CSX Transportation Inc., Norfolk Southern Railway Co., Union Pacific Railroad Co., and Berkshire Hathway Inc. subisidary BNSF Railway Co. face about three dozen antitrust suits over the fuel rates.
