Facebook Inc.'s former general counsel Theodore Ullyot will oversee T-Mobile U.S. Inc.'s acquisition of Sprint Corp. if the $26 billion telecom deal closes.
A federal judge approved the Justice Department’s appointment of Ullyot as the merger’s monitoring trustee, according to a Jan. 10 court filing.
The telecom merger’s fate is still uncertain as the deal faces a federal antitrust lawsuit by a group of state attorneys general, led by New York’s Attorney General Letitia James and California’s Attorney General Xavier Becerra, who seek to block the deal.
