Florida Companies Hit With Lobster, Crab Claw Price-Fixing Suit

Two Florida seafood companies and their vice presidents were sued in federal court by commercial fishermen who claim that they colluded to fix the prices for stone crab claws and spiny lobsters in Florida.

Dennis Dopico, vice president of D&D Seafood Corp., and Gary Graves, vice president of Keys Fisheries Inc., coordinated to depress prices paid to the fishers for the crustaceans harvested, from July 2023 through early 2025, according to a proposed class action filed Monday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
