A group of leading Norwegian fisheries will pay $33 million—after an $85 million settlement last year—to end antitrust litigation over their alleged scheme to fix worldwide salmon prices.
Judge Rodney Smith, writing for the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida, signed off on the agreement Monday. The pact resolves class action claims brought on behalf of indirect purchasers such as restaurants and caterers. Smith called it fair and adequate.
