Firm Behind VW, Daimler Truck Cartel Claims Dealt Court Blow (1)

Germany’s top civil court has delivered a blow to the business model of a litigation firm spearheading a €500 million ($587 million) cartel claim against European truck makers including Volkswagen AG’s MAN unit and Daimler Truck Holding AG.

The Federal Court of Justice on Tuesday ruled that Financialright Claims GmbH will have to dissolve a group of 3,000 claims that it combined into a single action in the nation.
