Facebook, Now Meta, Sued Over ‘Scheme to Crush’ Phhhoto (1)

Phhhoto Inc., a defunct social media app featuring short looped videos, filed federal antitrust claims in Brooklyn against the former Facebook Inc.—now called Meta Platforms Inc.—accusing founder Mark Zuckerberg of personally engineering a fraudulent “scheme to crush” the once-popular startup.

The lawsuit, filed late Thursday, accuses Meta’s senior leaders of doing their own recon into Phhhoto—the complaint includes screenshots of a selfie taken on the app by Zuckerberg—while making bogus overtures about integrating some of its features into Facebook and Instagram.
