Ex-Generic Drug Executive Charged in U.S. Price-Fixing Probe (1)

A former Taro Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. marketing executive was charged by the U.S. Justice Department for conspiring to fix prices of generic drugs, the latest case to emerge from a years-long federal antitrust investigation.

Ara Aprahamian, who was responsible for overseeing generic-drug sales, pricing, and contracts at Taro, conspired with two companies to fix prices from 2013 to 2015, the Justice Department said in a statement on Tuesday. He was also charged with lying to the FBI.
