EU Dealmaking Poised for a Revival: Evening Briefing Europe

Senior bankers at Goldman Sachs told us they’re betting on a revival of European dealmaking because more investors are looking outside the US to generate returns. Economies including Germany and France are poised to benefit from an uptick in infrastructure spending. Financing those capital expenditures could lead to more mergers and public offerings.

Opportunity also abounds in the Middle East, where banks are adding workersto help the region’s sovereign wealth funds allocate cash. The Qatar Investment Authority announced today that it will partner with Blue Owl Capital to finance and invest in data centers, in a deal potentially worth more than $3 billion.
