A series of cases accusing RB Global Inc. and other companies of colluding to inflate rental prices for construction equipment will be moved to an Illinois federal court, a judicial panel said.
The suits, pending in California, Iowa and Illinois federal courts, will be consolidated into the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation said Wednesday.
The cases include similar allegations by individuals and entities that rent construction equipment. The plaintiffs claim the companies, using RB Global and its pricing tools, eliminated competition among themselves and raised prices.
