Enhabit Accuses Private Equity Firms of Backing Executive Raid

Enhabit Inc. filed suit in Delaware against Nautic Partners LLC and Vistria Group LP affiliates, claiming the private equity firms conspired with the hospice company’s ex-CEO to poach other top executives and build a rival business after Enhabit rejected their buyout offer.

The lawsuit, docketed Monday in the state’s Chancery Court, also targets the former chief financial officer for Enhabit, previously known as Encompass Home Health & Hospice. It doesn’t directly take aim at the ex-CEO, April K. Anthony, whose dispute with Enhabit is allegedly covered by an arbitration clause.
