Drag racer Larry Dixon has settled and dropped antitrust litigation over an alleged scheme by the National Hot Rod Association to elbow him out of the market for two-seat dragsters after he developed a prototype, according to a federal court filing in Indianapolis.
Dixon and the organization docketed a joint stipulation late Wednesday dismissing his claims with prejudice from the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. The move came about six weeks after they notified Judge James R. Sweeney II in late December that they had reached a deal.
