Activision Blizzard Settles With DOJ Over Esports Pay Claims (2)

The Department of Justice reached a settlement with Activision Blizzard Inc. over allegations it suppressed the wages of its esports players and limited competition between the teams.

The department alleged Monday that a tax levied against teams that paid their players more than the Activision-set cap illegally kept down wages for professional players of the video games Call of Duty and Overwatch, in a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of of Columbia.
