Doctolib, an app for medical appointments, was fined about €4.7 million ($5.4 million) by French antitrust regulators for abusing its market dominance.
France’s Autorité de la Concurrence said on Thursday that Doctolib unfairly forced its subscribers to exclusively use its services via certain contractual clauses.
The antitrust regulator also accused Doctolib of buying its main rival, MonDocteur, to erase competition in France. The 2018 deal was examined retrospectively by the Autorité as it hadn’t met review thresholds at the time.
