Dexon Wins Approval to Move Forward with Cisco Antitrust Case

Dexon Computer Inc. can move forward with an antitrust suit against Cisco Systems Inc. that alleges the computer giant coerced customers into purchasing overpriced computer networking equipment.

Dexon has sufficiently alleged that Cisco engaged in anti-competitive conduct by locking in customers who require maintenance with Cisco’s Smartnet program to make overpriced purchases of routers and ethernet switches, according to a March 31 decision by Judge Robert Schroeder in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
