Corsair Airline Gets EU Probe Over French Restructuring Plan

French airline Corsair S.A’s multi-million-euro restructuring plan faces a full-blown European Union investigation, after the bloc’s regulators decided that the financial support requires deeper scrutiny from Brussels regulators.

  • Corsair’s original restructuring plan got EU approval in December 2020, consisting of €106.7 million in aid and €30.2 million for damages suffered during the corona-virus pandemic
  • A restructured package, filed by the French government in December 2023, is the subject of the EU’s new review
