Concrete Antitrust Suit Gets Green Light On Second Try

Argos USA LLC, Lafarge North America Inc., and six other concrete makers must face an antitrust lawsuit claiming they’ve fixed prices in South Carolina and Georgia since 2012, a District of South Carolina judge ruled.

The proposed class action also targets Coastal Concrete Southeast II LLC, Thomas Concrete Inc., Evans Concrete LLC, Elite Concrete LLC, and affiliates of Argos and Thomas. It was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina by Pro Slab Inc. and other construction contractors.
