Classic Car Auction House RM Sotheby’s Sued by Its Ex-President

The former president of RM Sotheby’s filed suit in Delaware against the classic car auction house, claiming it’s trying to crush his rival business despite waiving noncompete and nonsolicitation provisions when he left last year over rampant but unspecified misconduct allegations at the company.

The lawsuit, made public Monday, accuses RM Sotheby’s of a broad “campaign of deception” aimed at confusing consumers about its relationship with Kenneth Ahn’s new business, Collectors Garage, through cyber-squatting, fake social media accounts, and emails “impersonating” its employees.
