California Judge Weighs Invisalign’s Exclusive Dealing Claims

A California judge on Thursday weighed arguments by plastic teeth manufacturer Align Technology Inc. that sought to end two related antitrust cases accusing it of monopolizing the market for plastic teeth orthodontic devices.

Bo Pearl, partner with Paul Hastings representing Align, at a US District Court for the Northern District of California hearing on Thursday said there is no evidence the maker of Invisalign teeth straighteners terminated its “interoperability” agreement with Danish manufacturer 3Shape in order to crush a rival.
