Caesars, MGM Escape Atlantic City Hotel Room Price-Fixing Case

Caesars Entertainment Inc., MGM Resorts International, and other casino-hotels prevailed in a case accusing them of using pricing algorithms to inflate hotel room rates in Atlantic City, N.J., after a federal judge granted their motion to dismiss the suit.

Judge Karen M. Williams of the US District Court for the District of New Jersey in a Monday opinion tossed the suit, concluding that hotel room guest plaintiffs failed to establish a plausible conspiracy among the casino-hotels in Atlantic City, a Jersey shore tourist destination known for gambling.
