The superintendence of Brazil’s antitrust agency known as Cade approved the acquisition of financial technology group Wirecard by PagSeguro without restrictions, according to publication in the official gazette.
- In August, PagSeguro announced a deal to buy 100% of Wirecard’s operations for an undisclosed amount, aiming at expanding payment services to its customers
- In report on Cade’s website, the antitrust regulator said both companies have low market concentration and the transaction does not raise competitive issues
