Booz-EverWatch Deal Should Pause Until After NSA Bids, DOJ Says

The Justice Department urged a federal judge to pause Booz Allen Hamilton’s proposed $440 million acquisition of defense firm EverWatch until its lawsuit to block the deal is concluded or at least until the companies finish competing for a sensitive intelligence technology contract in late January.

The companies are the only viable competitors bidding for the National Security Agency’s signals intelligence contract, dubbed “Optimal Decision,” DOJ antitrust division’s lawyers argued Tuesday in closing arguments in the DOJ’s bid for a preliminary injunction.
