Booz Allen Closes DOJ-Challenged Acquisition of EverWatch

Booz Allen Hamilton Holding Corp. completed its $440 million acquisition of defense firm EverWatch, a deal that the Justice Department sought to block over concerns it would monopolize the market for a sensitive defense intelligence contract.

The consulting giant’s Friday announcement came hours after the Justice Department requested that the US District Court for the District of Maryland pause the deal for two weeks while the department’s antitrust division contemplated an appeal.
