Becton Dickinson Finally Escapes Cytek Counterclaims (Corrected)

Cytek Biosciences Inc. had no excuse for waiting until its third amended counterclaim to raise antitrust allegations against Becton Dickinson & Co., which has accused Cytek of stealing technical information about one of its medical devices, a California federal judge ruled.

BD claims Cytek took “secret technical specifications, source code, and designs related to the field of flow cytometry,” a laser-based technology used to identify, sort, and engineer cells and small particles. It filed the misappropriation suit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
