Axon Sued for Inflating Taser Prices for Local Police Department

Axon Enterprise Inc. is facing accusations that its monopolistic practices caused the police department in Maine’s capital to pay inflated prices for Tasers and body cameras.

The municipality of Augusta, Maine, alleges in a proposed class action that Axon’s dominance in the market for long-range conducted energy weapons and body-worn camera systems allowed it to charge higher prices, according to a complaint filed Wednesday in US District Court for the District of New Jersey.
