Argentina’s Commission for the Defense of Competition ruled that The Walt Disney Co. must disinvest locally following the purchase of 21st Century Fox.
- The commission ruled the purchase restricts competition and that Disney must transfer to a competitor the rights related to sporting events transmissions that Fox had at the moment of the deal
- That includes “core content” in events including Copa CONMEBOL Libertadores de America, UEFA Champions League, NFL, MLB, Formula 1, UFC, WWE, World Rugby Sevens among others
