Apollo in Talks for Stake in Syntegon at €4 Billion Value (1)

Apollo Global Management Inc. is in talks to buy a significant minority stake in Syntegon, the German packaging machine maker owned by CVC Capital Partners Plc, people with knowledge of the matter said.

The US investment firm has emerged as the likeliest buyer for the stake in Syntegon after pulling ahead of other private equity bidders, who asked not to be identified as the information is private. A final decision could be reached as soon as the coming days, with a deal set to value Syntegon at up to €4 billion ($4.6 billion), the people said.
