American Airlines Wins $1 in Lawsuit Over Sabre Booking Fees (2)

American Airlines Group Inc. was awarded $1 in damages in its 11-year civil lawsuit claiming Sabre Holdings Corp. illegally dominated the market for booking airline tickets.

A New York jury on Thursday found Sabre exercised monopoly power and that American had been harmed but awarded only nominal damages at the end of the fifth day of deliberations. Sabre was not liable for a 2011 contract that American claimed unreasonably restrained trade, the jury decided.
