Amazon Wins Second Dismissal of Shipping Services Antitrust Suit

Amazon.com Inc. prevailed a second time in a case accusing the e-commerce giant of forcing third-party sellers to pay for its shipping services, thereby raising prices for online customers.

Judge John H. Chun of the US District Court for the Western District of Washington on Wednesday granted Amazon’s motion to dismiss the second amended complaint from consumers alleging higher prices, saying they aren’t buyers in the market in which competition was restrained.
