Amazon, Meta Win UK CMA Nod for Marketplace Data Pledges (1)

Britain’s antitrust watchdog accepted promises from Amazon.com Inc. and Meta Platforms Inc. to address competition issues in how they use customer data in their marketplaces.

The Competition and Markets Authority said Friday it had given the nod to commitments from Amazon that will change the way it treats third-party sellers on its UK marketplace, ending an investigation. Separately, Meta also agreed on undertakings with the agency to prevent it exploiting its advertising customer data.
