Amazon Loses Bid To Toss Antitrust Claims in Pricing Policy Suit

Amazon.com Inc. failed to convince a judge to dismiss a proposed class action alleging the e-commerce giant stifled competition by restricting its third-party sellers from offering discounts on other online platforms.

Judge John H. Chun of the US District Court for the Western District of Washington in a sealed order Tuesday denied Amazon’s motion to dismiss the suit for failure to state a claim and directed the parties to file a joint statement by Dec. 2.
