Amazon eBook Antitrust Cases Consolidated in NYC Federal Court

Antitrust litigation over Amazon’s dominance in the eBook market will be consolidated, a federal judge in Manhattan ruled Tuesday, just as the Washington, D.C., attorney general sued the tech giant for allegedly monopolizing online retail.

Judge Gregory H. Woods will hear the eBook cases together in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, where seven customers sued separately over Amazon’s alleged scheme to drive up prices across the internet through “most favored nation” agreements with publishers.
