Amazon and Apple Defeats Won’t Stop EU Tax Probes, Vestager Says

The European Union’s antitrust chief has vowed to keep up her crackdown on sweetheart tax deals for multinational firms, even after a series of crushing defeats at the bloc’s top courts.

“There are a number of other important investigations ongoing,” EU Antitrust Commissioner Margrethe Vestager said in a speech Monday. “The likelihood” is “that more will be launched in the not-so distant future.”
