Alstom Offers EU Antitrust Concessions for Bombardier Deal (1)

Alstom SA will offer a wide-ranging package of concessions to the European Union’s antitrust regulator in a bid to obtain quick approval for its planned 6.2 billion-euro ($7 billion) acquisition of Bombardier Inc.’s rail-transport business.

The proposals include a transfer of Bombardier’s contribution to the V300 ZEFIRO very high-speed train that’s already in use in Italy and the sale of Alstom’s regional Coradia Polyvalent train and Reichshoffen production site in France, according to a statement Thursday.
