Eye care products giant Alcon Inc. will face antitrust claims in a case alleging that it conspired to fix the price of disposable contact lenses sold in the US.
Plaintiff Lens.com presented evidence that Alcon inhibited it from being able to sell Alcon-branded lenses, forcing consumers to pursue higher-priced options, Senior Judge Harvey E. Schlesinger of the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida said in a Tuesday order denying Alcon’s motion to end the case.
