Agri Stats Inc. gained preliminary approval of a deal in which it agreed to stop sharing plant-level compensation data as part of a wage-fixing conspiracy case brought by poultry workers dating to 2019.
Judge Stephanie A. Gallagher of the US District Court for the District of Maryland in a Tuesday order said the proposed deal with Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Agri Stats “has been negotiated at arm’s length and is sufficiently fair, reasonable, and adequate to authorize dissemination of notice of the Settlement Agreement to the Settlement Class.”
