AerCap-Gecas Deal Has Most Antitrust Approvals Needed to Close

AerCap Holdings NV Chief Executive Officer Aengus Kelly said Tuesday that the roughly $30 billion deal to create the world’s largest commercial aircraft lessor has most of the regulatory approvals needed to conclude the tie-up.

  • The deal to acquire GE Capital Aviation Services, or Gecas, is on track to close during the fourth quarter, Kelly said during remarks at an International Air Transport Association summit in Boston
  • The combination with General Electric Co.’s jet lessor has received the “vast majority” of antitrust approvals from the 26 jurisdictions that must provide it, he said
