Adelson-Owned Newspaper Fires Back at Vegas Publishing Partner

The Las Vegas Review-Journal, the newspaper owned by the family of billionaire casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, fired back at its publishing partner in a lawsuit, saying the owner of the Las Vegas Sun only wants to get bought out and doesn’t care about independent journalism.

In a filing Monday in federal court in Nevada, the Adelsons said Brian Greenspun, owner of the Sun, approached them shortly after they acquired the Review-Journal and asked to be bought out for “tens of millions of dollars.”
