Pharma giant AstraZeneca plans to fight a $1.3 million tax and transfer pricing adjustment in India, after the company’s subsidiary received an order from tax authorities late last week.
AstraZeneca Pharma India Ltd. received a final assessment order seeking an adjustment for 118.8 million rupees ($1.3 million) over transfer pricing and corporate tax issues for assessment year 2022-23, the company said in a Jan. 16 filing.
