Vorys Hires Kelvin Lawrence as Tax Partner in Columbus Office

Kelvin Lawrence joined Vorys as a partner in its tax practice in Columbus, the firm announced Tuesday.

Lawrence counsels clients on the tax aspects of business transactions, including pre-sale due diligence and purchase agreement tax provisions, and has secured significant tax refunds for clients through audits, appeals, and compliance efforts before state and local taxing authorities.

He also regularly represents clients in Ohio property tax valuation appeals; exemption applications; controversies involving sales, entity transfers, and tax abatements; and sales and use tax, commercial activity tax, and pass-through entity tax matters, the firm said.
