Hegseth Moves to Censure Kelly Over ‘Unlawful Orders’ Video (2)

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced plans to cut Senator Mark Kelly’s military rank and dock his pension over a video in which the Arizona Democrat reminded service members of their duty to disobey unlawful orders.

In a social-media post, Hegseth wrote that he had issued a formal letter of censure and the Pentagon had “initiated retirement grade determination proceedings” against Kelly over the November video from Kelly and five other congressional Democrats. The “reckless and seditious” video was “clearly intended to undermine good order and military discipline,” Hegseth wrote.
