FERC Must Redo Louisiana Natural Gas Project’s Emissions Impacts

US energy regulators inadequately explained their failure to determine the environmental impacts of a proposed liquefied natural gas project’s emissions, the D.C. Circuit found Tuesday.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission also failed to adequately assess the cumulative effects of the project’s nitrogen dioxide emissions, the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ruled.
