US Updates Foreign Per Diem Rates, Effective Sept. 1, 2025

Foreign per diem rates for 75 locations, including Cairo, Mumbai, and Tokyo, were updated by the US State Department and take effect Sept. 1.

Updates apply to cities and other locations in Albania, Botswana, Cabo Verde, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eswatini, Gabon, Georgia, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lesotho, Namibia, Nepal, North Macedonia, Papua New Guinea, Republic of the Congo, Samoa, Serbia, South Africa, Syria, and Uzbekistan, according to the department’s updated list.

The update for Samoa is the first since June 1, 2012, according to previous versions of the list.
