Tukwila, Washington, announced its first minimum wage rates on the city’s minimum wage webpage on May 26.
Effective July 1, the hourly minimum wage will be $16.99 for employers that have either 15 to 500 employees globally or over $2 million in annual gross revenue, according to the city’s minimum wage notice. A separate minimum wage rate of $18.99 will apply to large employers, which consist of employers with more than 500 employees globally and any franchisees associated with a franchisor or network that employs more than 500 employees in the aggregate.
