Russia Upper House Approves Resolutions to Ratify DTAs, Protocol With Malaysia, Abkhazia

The Russian Federation Council Oct. 23 passed Resolution Nos. 415-SF and 416-SF, approving laws to ratify: 1) a new DTA and protocol with Malaysia, signed May 17, to replace the 1987 DTA and protocol currently in force between the countries; and 2) the DTA with the Republic of Abkhazia (Government-in-exile in Georgia), signed May 7.
