New Hampshire Governor Vetoes Minimum-Wage Bill

A New Hampshire bill to raise the state’s hourly minimum wage to $15 from $7.25 by 2025 was vetoed July 24 by Gov. Chris Sununu (R).

The measure (H.B. 731) to increase the minimum wage would have led to job losses and reduced hours for the workers it sought to support, Sununu said in a statement, adding that Covid-19 has exacerbated the economic situation.
