Nebraska Voters Approve Paid Sick Time Ballot Measure

Nebraska employers must begin providing paid sick time to employees on Oct. 1, 2025, under a ballot measure that voters approved Nov. 5.

All employees are covered, except for those who work in Nebraska for fewer than 80 hours in a calendar year or are covered under the federal Railroad Unemployment Insurance Act, under Initiative Measure 436.
