Nebraska’s unemployment insurance tax rates for experienced employers will be increasing for 2026, according to a Dec. 2 update on the labor department’s website.
Tax rates for experienced employers will range from zero to 5.4%, unchanged from 2025, according to the website. However, all tax rates for experienced employers not assigned the minimum or maximum rate will be increasing for each rate category compared to 2025.
The rate for new employers is 1.25% for nonconstruction employers and 5.4% for construction employers, unchanged from 2025, according to the website.
