Montgomery County, Maryland, released its minimum wage rates effective July 1 in a Feb. 27 press release.
The hourly minimum wage will rise to $18 from $17.65 for large employers, to $16.50 from $16 for mid-size employers, and to $15.95 from $15.50 for small employers, according to the press release. Large employers have at least 51 employees, mid-size employers have 11 to 50 employees, and small employers have 10 or fewer employees.
